2024

• Received an Individual Artists bursary from Roscommon County Council to support a residency at Arte Studio Ginestrelle this coming December in Assisi, Italy.
• Awarded a month long residency at Arte Studio Ginestrelle, Assisi, Italy for December 2024.

2023

• Awarded an Agility Award by the Arts Council of Ireland which will allow me to expand my project An Dáil Cleite / The Feather Assembly through the early stage development of a photo-book.
• Awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society (FRPS).
• Received an Individual Artists bursary from Roscommon County Council to undertake a two week residency at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre.

2022

• Awarded an Agility Award by the Arts Council of Ireland which allowed me the opportunity to develop a new body of work for my solo exhibition - An Dáil Cleite / The Feather Assembly.
• Received an Individual Artists bursary from Roscommon County Council in support of mentoring from Eamonn Maxwell - Arts Advisor and Curator.

2021

• Awarded 1-on-1 mentorship with curator Eamonn Maxwell, by Roscommon County Council.
• Awarded Associate membership of the Royal Photographic Society (ARPS).
• Awarded a grant by Culture Ireland to support my two-person exhibition with Matt Connors at the Photographer's Eye Gallery in Escondido, California, USA in June.
• Received an Individual Artists bursary form Roscommon County Council to purchase equipment for my new printmaking studio space.

2020

• Awarded the Juror’s Special Honor Award at the (S)Light of Hand exhibition, Escondido, CA, USA.
• Received an Individual Artists bursary from Roscommon County Council to attend a Photogravure Masterclass with Tariq Dijani, in Galicia, Spain.

2018

• Received an Individual Artists bursary from Roscommon County Council to provide financial support for my second solo exhibition, Inked & Pressed (part of the PhotoIreland Festival 2018).

2017

• Awarded Associate membership of the Irish Photographic Federation (AIPF).
• Received a bursary from Roscommon County Council Arts Office to spend two weeks working on a collaborative project at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre.
• Received an Individual Artists bursary from Roscommon County Council Arts Office to provide financial support for the creation of my first solo exhibition.

2016

• Work acquired for the new Roscommon County Council Civic Headquarters.
• Received a bursary from Roscommon County Council Arts Office to spend two weeks at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre.
• Invited to become a full member of the Graphic Studio Dublin.

2015

• Work acquired for the Roscommon County Council Civic Collection.
• Awarded a ten-day residency by the Cill Rialaig Artist Retreat, Ballinskelligs, Ireland.
• Received an Individual Artists bursary from Roscommon County Council Arts Office to undertake one-on-one training in medium format film photography from Alan Ross, U.S. based master photographer, and attend an advanced darkroom workshop with him at The Darkroom, Block T, Dublin.
• Received a Tyrone Guthrie bursary from Roscommon County Council Arts Office to spend two weeks at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre.
• Accepted as a member of the Open Access Programme of the Graphic Studio Dublin.

2014

• Received an Individual Artists bursary from Roscommon County Council Arts Office to undertake one-on-one training in photo intaglio printmaking with Robert Russell, printmaker and studio director of the Graphic Studio Dublin.
• Awarded Licentiate membership of the Irish Photographic Federation (LIPF).
• Awarded First Place in the Projected Image - Landscape category of the Irish Photographic Federation Mid-West Region National Print & Projected Image Competition 2013/2014.

2013

• Awarded a Honourable Mention at the Irish Photographic Federation National Shield Competition at which Boyle Camera Club won the National Shield.
• Awarded a joint two-week residency with my wife Susan Mannion by the Cill Rialaig Artist Retreat, Ballinskelligs, Ireland.
• Received an Individual Artists bursary from Roscommon County Council Arts Office to attend a residential landscape photography course with the international landscape photographer, Charlie Waite.
• Received a bursary from Roscommon County Council Arts Office to spend two weeks at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre.

2012

• Received an Individual Artists bursary from Roscommon County Council Arts Department to attend a Black and White Photography course at West Dean College, England.
